Tulip Discloth by Doni Speigle
It is technically a pattern for a dishcloth but can be adapted to our use. It comes out quite pretty. I had to add a third color since it was not conducive to my 2 color scheme.
There were no adjustments. Just follow the pattern very carefully since there are a lot of intricacies:
The second pattern isn't so much the pattern of the main square, but rather the addition to it. It is a cute little fox face! I just worked up a solid granny square underneath (I made a quick blog for a solid Granny Square Pattern in case anyone has need. It is basic and can be found anywhere, but I figure I would include it for quick reference) and made the face to attach. Now the only issue: the pattern is in German and I don't speak or read a lick! Thankfully there was a chart accompanying this and since charts are universal, it is easy to read.

She also has a deer and a little sparrow. In case anyone wants to tackle this, I translated the stitches from German and added the chart symbol next to it:
And the final adorable product!
